The Gate Kill function is used in motor controllers and multi-level power converters.
When the Kill input signal is asserted, the Gate Kill shuts down the PWM output drivers in less than 50 nanoseconds.
The test procedure:
1) Before calling this function, the Kill signal must already be asserted on the TCPWM instance under test. 2) The TCPWM counter value is read twice with a 10 ms delay between reads. 3) If both counter values are equal, the counter has stopped, confirming that the Gate Kill signal was correctly applied at the pin-function level.
